Pakt Score
Pakt Score is a user's on-Chainsite activity Reputation Score. It is calculated out of 100 total points (like the globally ubiquitous FIFA or Madden player scoring systems), with higher scores registering superior to lower scores.
The algorithm underlying this scoring system is designed to be as straightforward as possible. Here is how a user’s Reputation Score is earned:
Feedback Reviews from Collaborators - 60 POINTS
At the completion of every engagement, both counterparties are prompted to leave a scored and textual review. This review is mandatory. The system Pakt uses is the familiar 5 star system used by Amazon and Uber.
Scoring:
Feedback Review scores are selected from 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 stars
All job review scores are arithmetically averaged
Review Score Average = (Job1+Job2 +... John)/n
For example, if I’ve done three jobs my average review score would be (Job A + Job B + Job C)/3
The average score would then be plugged into the following formula
((User average - 2)/3) *60
Thus a perfect average score of 5 earns 60 points. Here’s the basic math:
5 - 2 = 3
3/3 = 1
1 x 60 = 60
An average score of 3 indicating a middling performance would receive 1/3 as many points as a perfect performer with an average of 5
3 - 2 = 1
1/3 - .3333
.333 x 60 = 20
Average scores beneath 2 negatively impact a user’s total Pakt Score. For example if an average score were 1.5:
1.5 - 2 = -.5
-.5/3 = -.125
-.125 x 60 = -7.5
This demotes poor performers, visibly indicating partnering with them is best to be avoided.
Number of 5 star jobs completed - 20 POINTS
When a 5 star review is achieved after the completion of a job, Pakt counts that as a triumph for the talent, the client, and the Chainsite itself. While the average review score already factors into the previous calculation, five star reviews deserve an additional bonus to promote elite performance.
Scoring:
1 point per 5 star job up to 20 five star jobs
Number of referrals - 10 POINTS
In order to count towards a user’s referred “friends” total, the referral must:
Create a profile
Complete one greater than or equal to 4 star job from a different party than the referring party
Scoring:
1 point per referral up to 10 referrals
“Squad" score - 10 points
Just like a healthily functioning society requires individuals to bear responsibility for their families and friends, Pakt users’ bear responsibility for their referrals on the platform. Here is how we score the health of an individual’s “squad”:
7.5 * (referrals’ average feedback score/60) + 2.5 * (referral’s squad score/10)
For instance, imagine if my referrals have an average feedback score of 55 and an average Squad score of 9...
My Squad score is 7.5 * (55/60) + 2.5 * (9/10) = 6.875+2.25= 9.125
As you can see, on Pakt-based chainsites your Reputation Score reflects the company you keep. Also, the mathematically perceptive will note that this simple construction interlinks the fates of all members of a Pakt Chainsite since every user will be referred by somebody else who was referred and so on.
