Deploy a Chainsite

This section outlines the process of deploying a chainsite

1. Create an account

Register your beta account

2. Create a chainsite

Once you have registered and logged in to the Pakt command centre, click Let's Go on the "Create Your First Chainsite" banner. This will direct you to our DevOps tool. The initial step prompts you to enter a name and description for your Chainsite, which will serve as its identification in your command centre going forward. These details can be updated at any time.

3. Make payment

After that, you will proceed to pay to activate your Chainsite. This payment covers the server costs applied in the next step. Choose your preferred payment method and complete the $50 transaction.

4. Activate Chainsite

Once your payment is confirmed, you will move on to the Activate Pakt Suite stage. This initiates the setup of an EC2 server on AWS and installs Pakt's operating system named "Paktsuite". Click the "Let's go" button to begin the Chainsite activation process seamlessly.

5. Wait for Chainsite deployment

Chainsite activation typically takes around 10 minutes to complete. Once finished, your EC2 instance will be deployed, and all components of the Paktsuite will be installed on the newly created server.

Soon, Pakt will launch a Template and Mod Marketplace for vendors to upload UI layouts and plug-and-play functionality enhancements. Users spinning up Chainsites can visit the Template Marketplace during this deployment if they want to install the template as part of their Chainsite spinup. For now, the customization of templates is in the hands and minds of Pakt's developer community. These templates can be deployed directly onto a running EC2 instance as described .

6. Activation Completed

Congratulations! You have successfully created and deployed your first Chainsite on Pakt. Now you can start customizing it and embark on building your web3 future.
